So I run a lot of Kickstarter campaigns. A lot of fairly small ones. I'm pretty used to the amount of spam that I get from people offering marketing services. This time, I've decided to make a public list of everyone who's contacted me about it. I'm not actually sure why, it just seems like the thing to do.
Whether these items are actually spam by definition is for you to decide. I've not initiated contact with any of these services. Some emailed me, some sent Kickstarter messages. If I do actually end up using any of these services, I'll make note of it, and possibly write another post about it.
In no particular order:
- Backer Flood
- Get Funded PR
- Green Inbox
- Ashley Jones / Kicktips.net / MySocialMedia
- Angie Barnett / Marketing Queen CFQ
- Crowdfunding Ninja
- PR Boss9 / @codeanyway
- Juego studio? (no topic, just a random email)
- Lionheart Studios
- The Once and Future Podcast
- Nora Voley (no group?)
- Pop Culture PR
- crowdfundingmegic / thegogofactor
- Jamie Anderson (no group?)
- BoardGame Boda
- IndieGoGo InDemand (4 separate emails)
Here's the thing though. I think this might be a sign that my marketing is working better on this project. More people sending random messages seems to indicate more people seeing the project in the first place. Or maybe I'm wrong and there's just a lot more businesses out there built to take advantage of Kickstarter projects. Who knows.
